What would you do as a marshal?
During car, bike or karting events, marshals are involved in a surprisingly wide range of tasks. Your mail role is to enable the event to take place. Perhaps you will be using different colour flags to signal specific instruction to drivers and riders, such as warning them of incidents ahead. Special training helps you deal with everything from fires and first aid to dealing with incidents.
You might also be escorting photographers and camera crews - making sure they get the best shots, but safely. Or you could be helping with crowd control, and policing the access to important areas such as the pit lane.
Being a marshal is both challenging and rewarding. And remember, without marshals, motor sport simply could not happen!
