MCUI Ulster Centre Prize Night |

There were smiles all around at the annual MCUI Ulster Centre Prize night in the La Mon House Hotel, Belfast on Friday 6th January. A very large crowd enjoyed the event which was organised by Jim Cray and Ivan Davidson and compered by George McCann.
The Chairman of the Ulster Centre, Jack Agnew and President of the MCUI, Chris Blair, assisted with presenting the awards to the worthy winners. Jack Agnew warmly welcomed everyone present and thanked each and every person for the work they do throughout the year to host the events and to support our competitors.
2012 David Wood Foundation Award
Congratulations to Kia McGreevy from Ballynahinch who received the David Wood Foundation award which was presented by Lee Wood. This award provides up to £2000 of financial assistance to Kia for the year ahead - The UC wishes him well and thanks Lee Wood and her team for the work they do to make this generous gift in memory of the much missed David Wood.
Wayne Hamilton - Special Presentation
The Ulster Centre was proud to present a special trophy posthumously to Wayne Hamilton for his achievements in motorcycling. This was in recognition of a tremendous season locally and in particular for Wayne's success in winning the Isle of Man Newcomers race in August 2011. Sadly, two days later, Wayne lost his life whilst competing in Manx Junior Grand Prix, tragically ending what would undoubtedly have been a superb career. Jack Agnew presented the trophy to Wayne's mum Sonya Hamilton.
